Our Pastors

Senior Pastor - Dan Pritchett:

Pastor Dan grew up as a "Missionary Kid," living with his parents in the Philippines for eleven years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Grace College, a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is married to Pam, and they have two daughters, Jill and Jamie. Dan is an avid player of racquetball and tennis and has been here at Valley GBC since 1986. 

Church Ministries Pastor - Doug Courter:

Pastor Doug was born in Toledo Ohio and grew up with two older sisters and a younger brother. He received his B. A. degree from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio and his Th.M from Grace Theological Seminary. Pastor Doug is married to Barb and they have four children: Karen, David, Kellyann & Benjamin. Pastor Doug served as an associate pastor for 14 years and a senior pastor for 14 years. Pastor Doug began his ministry at Valley Grace in 2011. Doug has many interests, but travel, golf & computers are his main hobby. He also teaches at HCC and MCTC.  

Assistant Pastor of Seniors - Ray Barger, Jr.:

Pastor Ray grew up in Hagerstown. He did undergraduate work at Liberty Baptist College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Studies from Antietam Bible College and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Antietam Biblical Seminary. He is married to Cindy. They have four daughters, Heather Reese, Holly Weaver, Heidi Poe, and Hilary Cooper; as well as three grandsons and two granddaughters. Ray is a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the Maryland Army National Guard in 2001 after 28 years of Army service. He enjoys music and travel with Cindy, and has been at VGBC since 1983.

Youth Intern - Spencer Draper:

Spencer is studying at Eternity Bible College which was founded by Francis Chan. He is currently enrolled online which allows for his ministry with youth. Spencer has participated in the youth program here at Valley Grace and has also been involved in ministry through Operation Barnabas and Operation Barnabas International.
